I am mindblown re: http://archives.newyorker.com/?i=2010-06-14#folio=072

This does stuff I never seen before, and it breaks my <3 in a good way.

  1. Dang, bro, I thought at first your were talking about your balls were sideways. And broke. And I was all worried, and then I realized your were merely referring to yr sideways heart, which whatever. And plus I can't access that there archival thingy because I don't haves a suscrichion to the NYCer. So I hope you're happy.

  2. Now I'm real happy.

It's a . Safran-Foer short story that makes me re-think him entirely. I thought his last two books were overrated, surprisingly bland and easy. This story I love. I'll see if I can send you the text.

  3. I love Everything Is Illuminated, although it approaches cuteness sometimes. I'd love to see this story. Have you checked out his book on vegetarianism, which what do we think of "vegetarianism"? Is it an 'ism'?

  4. You guys, and heck I admire some aspects of your culture very much and even troubled to learn your tongue and ways at a point, ya'all have this pattern of saying stuff that seems true to you utterly without regard to context. Which to me seems connected to the jurisprudish habit of putting people in jail for 'being bad' rather than for a particular crime. So can we please have back that stuff we sold you out of our own habit of wanting money more than independence?
